Real Estate and Construction Updates
The skyline of Sunny Isles Beach is in a constant state of evolution with several high profile projects underway. Construction is visibly progressing on the ultra luxurious Bentley Residences, which will feature a unique car elevator, and the dual tower St. Regis Residences. [8, 29] Adding to the city’s vertical growth, a new 62 story condominium tower has been approved for 19051 Collins Avenue, which is set to become the tallest building in the area upon completion. [8] The real estate market is showing signs of a shift, with reports indicating an increase in property inventory and longer times on the market, potentially creating more opportunities for buyers. [38] However, the luxury sector remains strong, as evidenced by a recent sale of a condo at the Estates at Acqualina South Tower for a significant $11.4 million. [36]

Thefts at Local Resort Lead to Arrests
A series of unrelated thefts at the Trump International Beach Resort have resulted in the arrests of two employees this past week. In one incident, a housekeeper was arrested on Saturday accused of stealing $6,500 in cash from a guest’s room while they were attending a soccer match. [7] According to police reports, surveillance footage and keycard access logs showed the employee entering the room despite not being assigned to service it. [7] In a separate case, another housekeeper was arrested on Monday for allegedly stealing a guest’s suitcase from their room. [22] The suitcase was later recovered and returned to the owner.
